Former head of World's Edge studio, Shannon Loftis, publicly criticized Xbox executive Asha Sharma amidst another round of layoffs in Microsoft's gaming division.
The reason for Loftis's comments was a recent Wall Street Journal article about Sharma. In the piece, the Xbox executive spoke about her management approach and emphasized the need to openly discuss company problems. One of her key phrases was “Clarity is kindness”.

Amidst the new layoffs, Loftis reacted with sarcasm:
It's quite funny that Asha Sharma told the WSJ last week, 'Clarity is kindness,' and today she orchestrated another wave of layoffs. Apparently, the Sword of Damocles is also a form of clarity. But what do I know?
The former head of World's Edge then continued to criticize Sharma's leadership style:
