"Face Your Fear": DC Studios Unveils Final Trailer for Body Horror "Clayface"

Less than a month remains until the premiere of the first horror film in the revamped DC cinematic universe.

DC Studios has released the final trailer for the horror film "Clayface". The video shows the gruesome transformations that actor Matt Hagen undergoes after he opts for experimental treatment following an injury. However, the studio is still keeping Clayface's full form a secret. Director James Watkins previously explained that he doesn't want to show audiences the "shark" before the premiere.

Tom Rhys Harries plays the main role. The screenplay was written by Mike Flanagan, and among Watkins' inspirations were David Cronenberg's "The Fly", "Substance" and Sam Raimi's "Evil Dead". The cast also includes Naomi Ackie, Eddie Marsan, and Max Minghella.

"Clayface" will be part of the main DC cinematic universe and will be released in theaters on October 23, 2026.
