Pre-orders for Custodian sets for Warhammer 40,000 and The Horus Heresy open on October 3

This week there will be a chance to pre-order Custodian sets that can be used in both Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. You'll be able to get your hands on warriors in Aquilon Terminator armor, the Telemon Heavy Dreadnought, the Pallas Grav-Attack, and more.

Games Workshop announced that from October 3, 2026, pre-orders will be available for the tabletop games Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. It will be possible to purchase the Aquilon Terminator Sodality set, containing six miniatures of Custodians in Aquilon Terminator armor.

They can be armed with Lastrum Storm Bolters, Solerite Power Claws and Solerite Gauntlets, Adrathic Combi-Destructors, and Flamers. A set with the Telemon Heavy Dreadnought will also be available. It has a namesake Power Fist-Caestus, an Adrathic Destructor, an Arachnus Assault Cannon, and an Iliastus Accelerator Culverin.

A set with two Custodians on Dawneagle Jetbikes will be available, armed with Lastrum Storm Bolters, Adrathic Weapons, Arachnus Cannons, and Corvae Las-Pulsars. Separately, a set with the Pallas Grav-Attack will be available for purchase. All listed boxes can be used in both WH40K and The Horus Heresy.

A number of recent Custodian sets for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy will be re-released in new packaging so that players can officially use them in Warhammer 40,000 alongside the new codex. Shield-Captains, Custodian Guard and Venatari units, Contemptor Dreadnoughts that can be assembled as Achillus or Galatus, Coronus Grav-Carriers, Caladius and Caladius-Annihilator Grav-Tanks will appear on the battlefields of the 41st millennium.

The new Codex: Adeptus Custodes will be available in standard, collector's, and limited editions, along with the Adeptus Custodes Command Pack containing 84 reference cards, a set of 16 themed black dice, and The Battle for the Signus Cluster: Assault on Kol tactical journal, dedicated to the battle on the cursed world of Kol.

For Warhammer 40,000, a Combat Patrol: Adeptus Custodes will be released, containing a Shield-Captain, six Custodian Guards, three Venatari, and a Contemptor Dreadnought that can be assembled as Achillus or Galatus.

Among other things, the novel Cold Covenant by Peter Fehervari will be available in regular or special editions. The special edition will feature foil details on the cover, a red ribbon bookmark, red-painted page edges, and the author's signature. Pre-orders for it will only be allowed from October 7, 2026.

Also available in paperback will be the books Auxilia by Russell Zimmerman, Massacre at Drop Site by John French, and Apostle by David Annandale.
