Player received a rare gift from Silent Hill creators and immediately put it up for auction - price exceeded $2000

A gift from the creators of Silent Hill: Townfall, released in only 100 copies for selected bloggers, appeared on eBay and has already risen in price from $325 to $2225.

We are talking about a replica of Simon's CRT TV from Silent Hill: Townfall. All 100 copies were given away for free to selected authors, so the item is considered collectible and extremely difficult to find.

One of the recipients decided to part with it: the lot appeared on eBay, and the seller briefly explained the decision: “I don't need it.” The spelling of the series name as “Silenthill” also attracted additional attention.

Initially, the TV was listed for $325, but collectors quickly raised the bid to $2225. With six days remaining until the end of the auction, the final price could be significantly higher.

The situation sparked debate among players and other authors. Jesse Gomez from IGN wrote: “Make a social media post, then take the money.” IAmLunarLizzy noted that many authors associated with Silent Hill would have found such a gift much more interesting.

The criticism is primarily related to the fact that a rare gift, released in only 100 copies to promote the game, almost immediately ended up at auction.
