Hot Toys Added Interactive Technology to Robocop and Robo-Cain Figures from the Second Film in the Series
The Robo-Cain figure from Hot Toys now features a full-fledged LED display with three pre-installed video clips, while Robocop's "Nuke" container has a built-in magnetic sensor that activates Robo-Cain's screen when the accessory approaches.
Hot Toys decided to upgrade some of its collectibles dedicated to the film “Robocop 2”. The company announced a major functional update for the 1/6 scale Robocop and Robo-Cain figures. To be more precise, the team implemented new interactive technologies.
Robo-Cain is now equipped with two interchangeable head and neck modules: one with a movable head, and the second has been upgraded from standard LED backlighting to a full-fledged USB-powered LED display.
Once the screen is on, you can switch between three pre-installed video clips recreating Cain's digitized face, as well as classic CGI footage of his distortion and destruction at the moment of final defeat.
Robocop, on the other hand, has a magnetic sensor built into the “Nuke” container. When this accessory approaches Robo-Cain's display, it instantly activates the display and starts playing the video, creating an interactive effect during demonstration.
