Will Scarlet Witch Return? Marvel Releases New Poster for "Avengers: Doctor Doom"

Fans have new reasons for theories.

Marvel Studios officially released the poster for “Avengers: Doctor Doom,” presented at Comic-Con in Malaga. Behind the villain, played by Robert Downey Jr., stand three mysterious witches from Latveria.

Back in July, their costumes were shown at Comic-Con in San Diego: green, yellow, and purple. Fans linked the green outfit to Sylvie from “Loki,” and the purple one to Clea from “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.”

The absence of a red costume then sparked a separate theory that Marvel would soon introduce a fourth witch — the Scarlet Witch. She was not presented at the exhibition, but now, on the poster, one of the three figures is depicted in red, which again fueled speculation about Wanda Maximoff's return.

Additional grounds for theories were provided by September reshoots. According to insiders, Elizabeth Olsen or her double in a Scarlet Witch costume were seen on set. However, Marvel has not officially confirmed either the actress's involvement or the identities of the three witches.

“Avengers: Doctor Doom” is scheduled to premiere on December 18, 2026.
