"Man of Tomorrow" Will Delve Deeper into Lex Luthor - Nathan Fillion on the "Superman" Sequel

“Man of Tomorrow” will reveal more about the personality of Lex Luthor, played by Nicholas Hoult. Nathan Fillion, who will reprise his role as Green Lantern Guy Gardner in James Gunn's “Superman” sequel, told The Hollywood Reporter:
“In the first movie, we learn a lot about who Superman is, and that’s right. In ‘Man of Tomorrow,’ I think we’ll learn more about who Lex Luthor is. And I think that’s just as important.”

In the sequel, Superman and his archenemy will have to unite to fight Brainiac. Earlier, James Gunn himself dismissed rumors that the film would be a crossover of the revamped DC cinematic universe, explaining that Lex and Clark would remain at the center of the story:
“This is a movie about Lex and Clark. People shouldn’t expect a lot of screen time for other heroes.”
“Man of Tomorrow” will be released in theaters on July 9, 2027.
