The story of a vampire king who has been searching for his lost queen for centuries will hit screens in 2027.

The manga "The Record of a Fallen Vampire" by Kyo Shirodaira and Yuri Kimura will be adapted into an anime 20 years after its publication ended. The anime premiere is scheduled for 2027, and in the meantime, the official website has unveiled the first teaser, poster, and character designs.

The story centers on the vampire king Akabara Strauss, who lost his kingdom and beloved many centuries ago. Humans could not kill the queen, so they sealed her away and then created thousands of false seals to hide the real one. Since then, Strauss has been trying to find his beloved, while fending off dhampirs — descendants of humans and vampires who continue to hunt him.
