New Skeleton Horsemen Set Unveiled for Warhammer: The Old World
The Tomb Kings will soon receive new reinforcements for the armies of Khemri, as the developers of the Warhammer: The Old World tabletop game will release a set of 10 plastic Skeleton Horsemen miniatures.
Games Workshop has unveiled a new multi-part plastic kit for the Warhammer: The Old World tabletop game, containing 10 cavalry miniatures.
These can be assembled as either Skeleton Horsemen or Skeleton Horse Archers. The units can be armed with a cavalry spear or a sword in addition to shields. The set also includes interchangeable heads, allowing for easy customization of undead hordes.
The miniatures can be used as a single unit of 10 models or as two smaller units of five. Each group of five contains enough parts to assemble a full command group, including a champion, musician, and standard bearer.
While the unstoppable Khemrian legions march forward in ranks of shield-bearing warriors and regiments of archers filling the sky with deadly arrows, Skeleton Horsemen and Horse Archers play an important role as skirmishers. Using their high speed, they outflank the enemy to strike where it hurts the most.
They are particularly effective at destroying war machine crews and vulnerable support units while the player's heavier forces fight for the center of the field. The new horse archers will be available for purchase in the near future. Their rules can be found in the book Warhammer: The Old World — Ravening Hordes.
