This City Devours People Alive: A Big Trailer for "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2" Has Been Released

A new story of revenge, redemption, and attempts to survive in Night City will be released on Netflix in just a week.

A full trailer for "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2" has been released on the Netflix Anime channel. The video begins with an introduction to the four main characters, then picks up pace. Shootouts and battles alternate with footage stylized as a documentary chronicle of harsh life in Night City.

The second season will tell a standalone story with new characters. Wick was once the "king" of Night City and a renowned mercenary, but now lives in the shadow of his own glory. Netrunner Dee is searching for the killer of his clan. Talia grew up in a corporate family but fell under the influence of the Maelstrom gang. And cinephile Roman Carax makes documentaries about other people's lives in a city where most prefer braindances.

Production is once again handled by Studio TRIGGER. Kei Ikarashi is the director, and the script was written by Bartosz Sztybor and Masahiko Otsuka, who previously worked on the first season.

The premiere of "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2" will take place on Netflix on October 20, 2026.
