TOHO animation has released the third character trailer for the anime "The Apothecary Diaries: The Treasure of the Late Lady". This time, the video is dedicated to the pirate group Kajiadan, whose members are searching for the treasure of their leader, who died a year ago.
Now the pirates are led by the son of the deceased leader, voiced by Kensho Ono. The role of his loyal subordinate went to Ryota Takeuchi, and the former leader himself was voiced by Jiro Saito. The trailer also showed the daughter of the former leader, but who voiced her is still unknown.
According to the plot, Maomao and Jinshi will go to the southern province of Binan to fulfill the last will of a deceased concubine and find out why her body has not decomposed even five years after her death — there the heroes will encounter pirates.
The Japanese premiere of "The Apothecary Diaries: The Treasure of the Late Lady" will take place on December 11, 2026. Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment will handle international distribution, but release dates outside of Japan have not yet been announced.
