The creators of the anime "The Apothecary Diaries: The Deceased Lady's Treasure" have unveiled the fourth and final character trailer. This time, the video is dedicated to a concubine who died five years ago in the imperial palace, and the maid who once cared for her.
For the full-length film, light novel author Natsu Hyuga devised an original plot. The Emperor entrusts Jinshi with fulfilling the last wish of the deceased concubine and transporting her remains to her homeland. However, it turns out that the woman's body has not changed at all in five years — Jinshi and Maomao will have to unravel this mystery.
TOHO Animation STUDIO is handling the production, and Norihiro Naganuma is serving as director. "The Apothecary Diaries: The Deceased Lady's Treasure" will be released in Japanese cinemas on December 11, 2026. Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment will handle international distribution, but release dates outside of Japan have not yet been announced.
