Xbox started paying players for launching Gears of War: E-Day

Monetary rewards are also available for 007 First Light.

Microsoft has started offering some Xbox users gift cards for participating in promotions related to new games. According to information that has appeared online, rewards are provided for players who launch Gears of War: E-Day and 007 First Light. The bonus amount depends on the game and the terms of the specific offer.

For Gears of War: E-Day, users can receive an Xbox gift card worth 5 dollars, and for launching 007 First Light — a 10-dollar card. In the second case, it is necessary to spend at least 10 minutes in the game, launching it through the Xbox application on PC.

The money is credited to the account balance and can be spent on anything in the Microsoft store.

However, the promotion is not available to all players: these are offers for individual users, not a guaranteed payment to every console owner or Microsoft account holder.
