Jenna Ortega revealed on the Happy Sad Confused podcast that after finishing her work on "Wednesday," she plans to take a break from filming TV series:
"I haven't really discussed being in franchises that much. My roles will find me. I think after "Wednesday," I probably won't do television for a while. I've dedicated many years to it. As a child, I went from one series to another, and now I want to leave time for something new."
At the same time, there have been no announcements about Ortega's departure from "Wednesday" or the series ending after the third season, so it's unknown how much longer the Addams Family story will continue. Filming for the continuation has already concluded, and the premiere on Netflix is expected in 2027. The exact release date has not yet been announced.
