The star of 'The Dreamers' and 'Casino Royale' will work with Tim Burton again.
Netflix has confirmed Eva Green's participation in the third season of 'Wednesday'. She will play the role of Aunt Ophelia Frump, Morticia Addams' sister.
Green will once again work with Tim Burton, who oversees the project and serves as one of the directors. Previously, the actress has already starred in his films: 'Dark Shadows' with Johnny Depp, 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children', and 'Dumbo' for Disney.
"I am thrilled to be joining the darkly twisted world of 'Wednesday' as Aunt Ophelia. This project is delightfully dark and witty, and I can't wait to add a bit of my own 'cuckoo' to the Addams family."
"Eva Green always brings a captivating, unique presence to the screen — sophisticated, mesmerizing, and wonderfully unpredictable. These qualities make her the perfect candidate for the role of Aunt Ophelia. We look forward to seeing how she transforms this character and expands the world of 'Wednesday'."
The premiere date for the third season has not yet been revealed. According to preliminary data, the release is expected no earlier than the summer or autumn of 2027: filming, originally scheduled for November 2025, has been postponed to the spring of 2026.
