Nathan Drake makes it to smartphones — Uncharted trilogy ported to Android

Three PlayStation 4 exclusives have made their way to smartphones at once thanks to enthusiasts.

A developer going by the handle revvv991 has released an experimental Android port of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, based on an unofficial PC port by SuperMedo. The collection includes remastered versions of Nathan Drake’s first three adventures: Drake’s Fortune, Among Thieves, and Drake’s Deception.

The mobile version supports touch controls and gamepads, and the size and opacity of the on-screen buttons can be customized.

The author tested all three games on the Retroid Pocket G2 handheld console equipped with a Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 and 8 GB of RAM. At 1280×720 resolution, the frame rate hovered between 25 and 37 FPS. Results may be better on more powerful devices, though much depends on compatibility. Specifically, Mali graphics are not yet supported, and crashes happen even on smartphones powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite and 8 Elite Gen 5.
