Paradox has cancelled “Sims killer” Life by You
Translated with AI from the Russian original.
The game was supposed to launch in Early Access a week ago, but the project was first postponed indefinitely and has now been cancelled altogether
After several delays, Paradox has ultimately decided to cancel the life simulator Life by You, which the creators had positioned as a “Sims killer”.
The developers note that they were unable to meet both their own expectations and the community's hopes, and the decision to cancel the game was very difficult for them.
“At the end of the day, our job is to release games that are fun, interesting, and challenging, and every decision we make must be made with that in mind. When we get it right, we earn our keep. So how do we ensure this doesn't happen again? Honestly, there are no real guarantees,” says Mattias Lilja, Deputy CEO of Paradox Interactive.
