Modders restore appearance of the actress who played Kay Vess in Star Wars Outlaws

Outlaws has been criticized for numerous aspects, but one of the community's primary complaints was the protagonist's downgraded appearance, as many believe.

Modders have restored the appearance of actress Humberly González to Star Wars Outlaws protagonist Kay Vess. The modification, titled Handsome Vess, primarily uses original game files, but with several tweaks to the diffuse and normal maps:

• The protagonist has regained her vanilla version freckles while retaining smooth eyebrows
• Less lip gloss and makeup for a more natural look
• Hazel eyes instead of blue (optional)
• A scar on the left eyebrow (optional).

The mod also allows changing the heroine’s hair color; however, due to how certain aspects of the original game are implemented at the code level, altering Kay’s hair color also changes the hair color of NPCs.
