Indie studio Foursaken Media has released the mobile version of Block Fortress 2 — a hybrid of shooter, tower defense strategy, and building sandbox, stylistically reminiscent of Minecraft.
In the game, users design and build their own base, and then defend it with turrets, traps, mines, shield generators, and other fortifications. After the start of an enemy attack, the player personally enters the battle — in the format of a first- or third-person shooter.
The world of Block Fortress 2 covers ten different planets, each of which differs in biomes, weather conditions, and natural disasters. The built-in mission editor allows you to create your own levels, share them with other users, and download other people's scenarios.
The PC version of Block Fortress 2 was released on Steam in the spring of 2025 and collected 81% positive reviews. The Android version is available for free on Google Play, but includes in-game monetization.
