PUBG Mobile will go beyond the battle royale genre and get a mode with asymmetric PvP and paranormal mechanics.
Level Infinite has planned a large-scale PUBG Mobile 4.0 update called "Creepy Party". It will add a significant amount of new content to the game, including a mode that goes beyond the usual battle royale.
The main innovation will be the Unfail mode, inspired by the concept of Dead by Daylight. In Unfail, one player controls a hunter with special abilities, while the rest act as survivors. Their task is to activate the terminals and leave the map before the hunter catches them.
Additionally, a themed Halloween map "Cursed Mansion" will appear in the game, filled with supernatural phenomena. Some ghosts will mimic the environment and bring resources when attacked, others will need to be freed to get supplies. In the middle of the match, a concert of an afterlife musical group may begin on the map - players will be able to interact with the musicians and receive rewards.
Also, a two-seater flying broom and a spirit companion will appear in the game, accompanying the player in matches. It can be upgraded, unlocking abilities such as scanning, healing, acceleration and protection.
More realistic weapon reloading and mortars will appear in the classic mode. Also, the Metro Royale mode will return to the game in the extraction shooter format.

Update 4.0 "Creepy Party" will be released on September 4th.
