Destiny: Rising, a mobile game based on the Bungie universe, has officially been released on iOS and Android. The project was developed by the Chinese company NetEase under license from Bungie and is an independent variation of the Destiny RPG shooter in an alternate timeline.
Players are offered a story that unfolds before the events of the original Destiny games. Instead of the usual Guardians, the so-called Lightbearers appear here — characters with unique styles, weapons, and leveling capabilities. Both single-player missions and cooperative PvE and PvP modes are available in the game.
The developers promise to release new seasons every two months, and new characters, which are obtained through gacha, every four weeks.
For the release, NetEase has prepared a package of bonuses: more than 200 free gacha spins, 12,500 units of in-game currency Lumia Leaves, and starter rewards related to the artifact system. Before its release, the game collected more than 10 million pre-registrations, which unlocked additional rewards for all new players.
Destiny: Rising is available for download in the Russian region of Google Play and the App Store. However, the game itself does not have a translation into Russian.
