IO Interactive has released Hitman: World of Assassination on iOS — a full-fledged port of the entire trilogy, adapted for mobile devices. The game includes content from all three parts of the series: more than 20 missions, Escalation and Elusive Targets modes, as well as the ability to freely choose the order of completing tasks. Touch controls and gamepads are supported. The prologue is available for free, the full version is purchased separately.
The mobile version is available in the App Store for $70. For comparison, the same collection can be purchased for $30 on PC. The developers stated that they would offer "the same scale and depth as on consoles," but in practice, even top-end Apple devices have difficulty running it.
The first reviews in the App Store indicate serious performance issues. iPhone 16 Pro Max owners report frame rate drops to single digits, freezes, and unstable level performance outside of the prologue.
Some users note that they were ready to support the release, despite the high price, but were disappointed with the technical condition. One comment reads: "I feel sorry for those who paid $70 for this."
Performance tests published on YouTube show that even on the iPhone 16 Pro Max, the game barely holds 30 frames per second in the starting location, and in subsequent locations the figure drops to 10–15 FPS.
