\"Chainsaw Man\" is set to return soon in a feature film format, dedicated to the \"bomb girl\" arc.
The official runtime for the upcoming anime film \"Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc\" has been announced. It will be released in Japan on September 19, 2025, and will begin its international release on October 29.
The film will run for approximately 100 minutes, which is noticeably shorter than most recent anime films, including all feature-length releases of the \"Demon Slayer\" franchise and other recent major releases. For comparison, \"Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle,\" which begins its international release on September 12, lasts 155 minutes.
\"Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc\" continues the story of the first season of the anime and tells the story of a new heroine, Reze — a girl working in a cafe who turns out to be a bomb girl threatening the main character, Denji. The film is being created by studio MAPPA under the direction of director Tatsuya Yoshihara and promises vibrant action scenes and dramatic events — the authors promise a darker story than in the first season.
