Jumpbound combines methodical exploration in the spirit of Journey with challenging first-person platforming trials.
Independent studio Another Round Entertainment has announced that its debut project, Jumpbound, will be released on Steam on September 24, 2025. The game is a first-person platformer with an emphasis on vertical progression and mastering new movements.
According to the description, the player starts with a single jump but unlocks additional abilities as they progress, including double jumps and boosts. These abilities allow you to reach new platforms and overcome more challenging sections.
The events unfold on a mysterious planet surrounded by ruins and accompanied by fragments of the hero's inner monologue. According to the developers, they sought to create an atmosphere of "meditative but intense" gameplay — with visual storytelling and a gradually changing mood in the spirit of Journey.
The gameplay involves multiple attempts: the player will have to fall, try again, master new techniques, and adapt to changing conditions. Jumpbound features modes with and without checkpoints, as well as hidden routes and collectible items and challenges that will please fans of speedrunning.
