Cyanide Studio continues to develop the fantasy American football game Blood Bowl 3.
Season 10 has started in Blood Bowl 3. The central innovation is the vampire team. At the same time, the developers expanded the Eternal League, introduced a redesigned level system for matches in the "Arena", and updated the rules of the official ladder.
Vampires can use the "Hypnotic Gaze" ability to deprive opponents of control zones and prevent them from using block and dodge. However, before using the ability, each vampire must pass a check. If it fails, the character bites someone from their team. To minimize damage, thralls come in handy, who can become "snacks", but they do not pass armor checks when they are bitten.
The community event of Season 10 is called "Sylvanian Harvest" and allows you to choose one of three teams to fight against the AI. It also gives you the opportunity to try out vampires for free.
New fields have appeared in the "Eternal League", and the appearance of opponents now reflects their level. A new level system has been introduced in the "Arena" mode. In addition, a minimum of 11 players is now required to register a team — previously, it was possible to declare a roster of 10 and a star player.
The update also affected the official ladder. The redraft process has been reworked: it is mandatory after every eight matches, and the budget has been increased to 1.4 million. Old and new teams are now separated, and the difference in rating and roster cost is limited — this should smooth out the competition and balance matchmaking. It is also forbidden to use "mega-stars" in the ladder, and the bonus for a winning streak now only applies up to the platinum level.
The 1.10.0.2 patch includes fixes for technical errors, softlocks, and interface issues. Bugs with replays, animations, and a number of specific mechanics have been fixed.
