In October, Sam Fisher returns from retirement in a new Netflix animated series based on the iconic Splinter Cell game series.
Netflix has unveiled the first full trailer for the animated series Splinter Cell: Deathwatch, based on Ubisoft's famous spy franchise.
The series' plot does not repeat the events of any of the games, but relies on lore elements familiar to fans of the series. Sam Fisher (Liev Schreiber) must return to operational work after an appeal from a young agent, Cinnia McKenna (Kirby Howell-Baptiste). As in the teaser released in August, the new video hints at a conflict with the grown-up daughter of Douglas Shetland, a character killed by Fisher in Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.
The series is produced by Sun Creature, Fost, and Ubisoft Film & Television. The directors are Félicien Colmet-Daage and Guillaume Dousse ("Love, Death & Robots"), and the script was written by Derek Kolstad, known for his work on the "John Wick" and "Nobody" franchises.
Splinter Cell: Deathwatch premieres on Netflix on October 14.
