From September 25th to 28th, visitors to the Tokyo Game Show 2005 will be able to play ANANTA, so the developers have prepared detailed gameplay footage.
The main entertainment in ANANTA will be exploring the city and interacting with it. The map has dozens of activatable points where you can participate in events — from petting cats in the park to watching street gang clashes. All of this works on an NPC ecosystem, which, according to the developers, behaves intelligently and naturally.
The developers have also created an interactive combat system. Duels, inspired by action cinema, allow you to use the environment — from golf clubs and trash cans to weapons taken from opponents. Quick dodges, precise blocks, and spectacular counterattacks are important in battles; each battle is unique thanks to strategic freedom.
There is also enough freedom of exploration: players can climb on roofs, swing on ropes, and reach hard-to-reach places. There will be many transportation options in the city: cars, taxis, subways, buses, and helicopters.
ANANTA will allow you to try on different roles: a special forces captain, a hacker, a courier, or a streamer fighting for popularity. The game plays with surrealism — a toilet booth running down the street will not surprise anyone. The city is fully interactive, including interiors, and is divided into three levels: roofs, middle floors, and streets.
The developers promise a project that combines the atmosphere of an open world, life simulation, and cinematic action. The trailer shows that ANANTA may be of interest to a wide audience of players.
