Images from the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake have appeared online. An artist who previously worked at Aspyr during the project's development shared his portfolio, which features several images of weapon models from the game.
According to MP1st, which discovered the images, the weapons were supposed to have a modular system. Players would be able to improve their arsenal in every way, replacing components of blasters and swords.
It is also unknown exactly when these images were made, but it is reported that the artist in charge of them worked at Aspyr until 2022.
The remake was first announced in 2021. However, since then, the project has experienced a real development hell. Initially, the development was handled by Aspyr, but in 2022, the project was postponed indefinitely after the dismissal of the art director and design director of the game.
By August 2022, Aspyr had stopped working on the remake, and the project was transferred to Saber Interactive. Since then, news about the development has been almost non-existent, and the fate of the game remains unclear. However, in March, Saber said that work on the project was continuing.
