The game was developed by Supermassive Games. Tarsier worked on the first and second parts.
Little Nightmares 3 has begun receiving its first reviews from professional critics. Reviewers praise the game's atmosphere, musical score, and the ability to play through the nightmarish tale in cooperative mode. Among the downsides are sometimes strange animations, not the most interesting boss battles, simple puzzles, and a weak plot.
As noted by GameSpot, Little Nightmares 3 is almost devoid of innovation; the game offers nothing that fans haven't already seen in the first and second parts, which Tarsier worked on.
