In 2026, viewers can expect two premieres in the world of Westeros.
According to Redanian Intelligence, filming for the third season of \"House of the Dragon\" has concluded, and HBO has officially moved the project into post-production. Work on the season took about six months and took place in the suburbs of London, at a studio in Leavesden.
While scenes with dragons, castles, and large-scale battles were often filmed against the backdrop of Southern European landscapes in the past, all the sets were now built and used in the UK.
The premiere of the third season is expected in the summer of 2026. HBO chief Casey Bloys clarified that the release will take place \"slightly later than the close of the Emmy season\" (May 31), hinting at a June release.
Before that, in January, viewers will see another project based on George Martin's world – the series \"A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,\" based on the Tales of Dunk and Egg. Thus, in 2026, HBO will release two shows based on the \"Game of Thrones\" universe.
