The end of October promises to be packed with gacha game releases on PC and smartphones. A new project from the creators of Arknights and Azur Lane is on the way.
Yostar has announced the global release date for its new anime RPG, Stella Sora. The game will be available on October 19th on iOS, Android, and PC. The story follows a protagonist named Tyran who remembers nothing about his past and finds himself in a bizarre world that combines fantasy aesthetics and retro-modern elements.
Stella Sora combines elements of an action roguelike and gacha. Players will have to assemble teams of three heroine-Trackers, who are obtained from gacha and accompany the main character, pick up random upgrades during runs, and use the characters' combat skills according to their roles to advance deeper into the exploration of the Monoliths.
In addition to the main storyline, the game will feature additional modes — duels, boss battles in a "bullet hell" format, as well as relationship development with the heroines.
Interestingly, Stella Sora will be released during a busy period and will face direct competition not only from major representatives of the anime RPG genre, but also from other new releases. These include Chaos Zero Nightmare (October 22) and Resonance Solstice (October 30), both with an emphasis on card battles, as well as Duet Night Abyss, a more traditional game in the spirit of Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves, which is scheduled for release on October 28.
