Theaters are ready to welcome the new hit from MAPPA after the preview screenings of the full-length "Chainsaw Man" sparked delight among the press and the public.
The global release of "Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc" begins on October 24, but preview screenings have already taken place in the USA, and the first reviews from critics and viewers have appeared. On the Rotten Tomatoes aggregator, the film received a perfect fresh rating — 100% from critics, and the audience "popcorn meter" records 99% based on more than 250 reviews.
Critics note that "Reze Arc" combines the highest quality animation and a strong emotional drama, uniting a story of teenage love with the signature cruelty and action of "Chainsaw Man". Viewers call the film "the best adaptation of Fujimoto's manga" and "the best animation of 2025."
The anime adapts the "bomb girl" arc and tells the story of the mysterious waitress Reze, whose appearance completely changes the life of the main character Denji. Studio MAPPA is responsible for the production. Tatsuya Yoshihara, who previously worked on episodes of the original series, directed the film. Hiroshi Seko wrote the script, and Kensuke Ushio is once again responsible for the music.
"Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc" will be released in Russian cinemas on October 30.
