The level of hardcore in EFT is gradually decreasing.

Escape from Tarkov developers have released update 0.16.9.5. Balancing settings from the period since the start of the wipe in PVP are transferred to the PVE ZONE, taking into account the latest softcore changes.

For example, the aim punch effect was reduced by 60%; the weight value required to reach overweight was increased by 50%, the amount of loot in locations was increased, and more.

The developers have also fixed the bots - now they will be less strong (more honest):

  • Fixed an issue where Boss escorts, raiders, and rogues would choose the head as the primary aiming point, rather than other body parts. This fix is aimed at reducing the overall frequency of headshots from bots;
  • Bots no longer use sound portals (zones between the street and the room) to adjust grenade throws. Previously, the presence of a portal helped the bot to more accurately throw a grenade into a window or doorway;
  • Reduced the overall accuracy of grenade throws by all bots;
  • Fixed situations where bots would use the entire ammunition of the underbarrel grenade launcher at once.
