Many gamers did not appreciate Evercore Heroes Ascension.
In the summer of 2025, Evercore Heroes Ascension was launched in early access, and the full version was released on September 18. At the end of October, the authors announced the closure of the project.
Representatives of Vela Games explained their decision to close the project:
The initial feedback and reception hit us harder than expected, and we never recovered. With a small team and limited resources, we pushed as hard as we could, but it eventually became clear that we would not be able to maintain the game at a stable level.
Evercore Heroes Ascension requires online authentication, and the developers can no longer support the server infrastructure required for its operation — the servers will be shut down.
Evercore Heroes Ascension was positioned as a "roguelike":
Choose your favorite MOBA-style hero and embark on roguelite runs! Overcome deadly challenges, get game-changing upgrades, synchronize your build for devastating combos, and save Lumerea from corruption!
