Some would like to see Daddario as Wonder Woman or Catwoman.
Alexandra Daddario has spoken about rumors surrounding her possible participation in James Gunn's DC cinematic universe. Previously, the actress had already appeared in the DC universe — she voiced Lois Lane in the animated films "Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths" and "Superman: Man of Tomorrow".
Now, in an interview with ScreenRant, she was asked about fan art where fans depict Daddario as Wonder Woman and Catwoman. According to the actress, she didn't even know such works existed.
«Honestly, I haven't seen any of it. I'm pleased to hear that something like that exists, but I didn't know about it».
When asked if she would like to join the revamped DCU, the actress replied:
«Of course, working with James Gunn would be amazing in any capacity, but I didn't even know I was being talked about in this context».
Both heroines will indeed appear in future DCU projects. In September 2025, James Gunn confirmed that Catwoman would be part of the new universe, but a specific project has not yet been named. As for Wonder Woman, a feature film is in the early stages of development — the script is being written by Ana Nogueira, who worked on the Supergirl film with Milly Alcock, which is also in production. It is not yet known who will play the roles of Catwoman and the new Wonder Woman — casting has not been officially announced.
