Funcom to fix the main problem in Dune: Awakening. The server will no longer destroy player progress
Dune: Awakening players will finally be able to stop worrying about losing their loot during breaks. Funcom developers promise that updates will begin to respect users' free time.
"My first experience was positive: I liked the mechanics, the world, the character development. I built several bases, collected resources, transport, weapons. But due to internet problems, I didn't play for a month. When I came back, I found that everything was lost - the bases were destroyed, the equipment and resources disappeared," writes one of the users.
Funcom acknowledged the problem and announced the introduction of containers for storing loot. They will allow you to save things for the duration of the break and will become part of the December update. It will also soon be possible to move transport between maps and balance improvements: rapier rework, new options for retreating from battle, as well as a tool for "packing" the base and equipment for transfer to another server or safe storage.
Testing of the function will begin this week.
Funcom also announced that the third episode of Dune: Awakening will be released in the first quarter of 2026. The update will focus on the endgame: reworking the Landsraad system, based on contracts as PvE activities, specializations and new story content.
