Producer Masato Kumazawa said that the developers worked on controls using the Joy-Con so that players could aim like a pointer. But after implementation, the function did not work correctly: accuracy was not combined with the rhythm and requirements of horror survival. To avoid inconvenience, the developers chose a gyroscope, which is more intuitive and suitable for the game.

Kumazawa noted that development on Switch 2 went smoothly thanks to experience with previous installments on Switch and PC. The new console provided a more controlled environment, simplifying optimization. The main challenge was precisely in trying to implement mouse control, which was removed after testing.

The Switch 2 version will offer two aiming alternatives: the right analog stick for the traditional approach and a motion sensor for more precise control. It is not yet known whether the gyroscope will be available on PS5 and other platforms.
