Shigeru Miyamoto has officially confirmed the start of filming.
Nintendo has released the first photos from the set of The Legend of Zelda movie. The photos feature Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link and Bo Bragason as Zelda. The images appeared in the Nintendo Today app and accompany the company's announcement of the start of production.
According to known information, the main filming location is in Wellington — the place where "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" were once filmed, and the filming process will last until April 2026.
The Legend of Zelda will premiere on May 7, 2027.
