A year after the launch of the PS5 Pro, some console owners say they feel cheated by Sony
In 2024, the company assured that it would release replacement panels specially prepared for the updated version of the device. But they never went on sale. The exception was a limited set based on "Ghost of Yotei", which was released in small batches and only in certain markets.
Sony warned that the panels from the regular PS5 are not suitable for the Pro model, but promised to prepare an official set for the new system later. Now users are forced to take accessories from third-party brands. This creates difficulties: some panels do not fit accurately, are made less qualitatively, or are almost unavailable due to limited supplies.
The lack of any updates from Sony has increased the community's frustration. The panels do not affect the operation of the PS5 Pro, but players believe that the company is obliged to fulfill its promise, especially given the wide selection of colors for the base PS5. For now, there is only one practical option left — cheap analogues from AliExpress.
