According to Gulnara Agamova, CEO of the Agency for Creative Industries (ACI), Russians spend about 380 billion rubles annually on games, of which 320 billion comes from residents of Moscow.
Agamova also stated that video games today have gone far beyond simple entertainment, becoming a powerful platform for promoting products, conveying meanings and stories. As an example, she cited Indonesia, where games primarily play the role of a social network, and only then as a commercial product.
Earlier, the online school XYZ published a study according to which there are about 25 million people in Russia who spend more than five hours a week playing games.
