Wishfully studio has presented a fresh trailer for Planet of Lana 2 — the continuation of the atmospheric indie platformer that won the hearts of players with its picturesque visual aesthetics and soulful story. In the video, game directors Adam Stiernshius and Klas Martin Eriksson talk about new mechanics and ways to interact with the environment that will form the basis of the sequel.
The main innovation is the appearance of creatures and robots that can directly change the world around them. If in the first part everything was based on the cooperation of Lana and her companion Mui, now the heroine will be able to control other creatures with unique properties. In particular, the trailer shows a fluffy spherical animal that can stick to walls and ceilings, leaving a soft trail behind. It can be used as a fuse — set it on fire to activate a mechanism or open a path forward.
In addition to new creatures, the developers promise to improve Mui's control, add more freedom in exploration, and improve stealth moments. In action episodes, Lana will be able to slide, climb, and more.
Embark on an unforgettable cinematic puzzle adventure with Lana and her loyal friend Mui. Whether you are familiar with the game's universe or exploring it for the first time, many discoveries await you. An ancient mystery rises from the hidden depths of Novo, and the further the characters advance, the more serious the threat becomes. Their unbreakable bond will be tested, and Lana will face fate in the darkness of the looming shadow.
Planet of Lana II will be released in 2026 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and on Steam on PC. On the day of release, the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass.
