Netflix continues to expand the cast of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed adaptation.
According to Deadline, British actress Laura Marcus has landed one of the regular roles in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed series, based on the Ubisoft game franchise. She is known for the series "Death by Lightning" and is also involved in the upcoming prequel "The Hunger Games: The Dawn of the Harvest."
The Assassin’s Creed series is described as a high-octane thriller about the confrontation between two secret factions. One seeks to determine the future of humanity through control and manipulation, while the other advocates for the preservation of free will. The action will unfold against the backdrop of important historical events, but the plot will focus on new characters not previously featured in the games.
Production of the series is scheduled to begin in 2026 in Italy, which will be the main filming location. The official time period of the action has not yet been revealed, but informants previously suggested that the story would unfold in Ancient Rome.
