The third season will premiere in January as a special featuring two episodes.
At Jump Festa '26, Studio MAPPA presented a new trailer for the third season of "Jujutsu Kaisen," which focuses on the story arc "Culling Game," also known as "Deadly Migration." The season is subtitled The Culling Game Part 1, implying the adaptation of only part of the arc.
Simultaneously with the trailer, the creators confirmed that the opening theme for the new season will be performed by the group King Gnu with the composition AIZO. It was also announced that the first two episodes will be released on the premiere day as a single one-hour special.
The third season will begin airing on January 8. Crunchyroll is responsible for the international release outside of Asia.
Shōta Goshozono remains the director of the third season, having previously worked on the second season. Hiroshi Seko is once again responsible for the script, and Studio MAPPA is handling the animation production. Yoshimasa Terui wrote the music for the season.
As a reminder, the film compilation "Jujutsu Kaisen 0.5: Shibuya Incident & Culling Game" was previously shown in cinemas, combining the "Shibuya Incident" arc from the second season and the first two episodes of the third. The release in Russia started on December 13.
