The mobile version will offer new ways to interact with the world.
Mintrocket studio has announced that Dave the Diver will be released on mobile devices in 2026. The game will first be available to users in China, followed by a release in other regions. XD Entertainment, which already collaborates with Mintrocket in the local market, will handle the publication of the mobile version.
The smartphone version will not be a simple port. The developers are reworking the controls and interface for touch screens and adding mechanics specifically designed for mobile devices. These include the use of the gyroscope, for example, when pouring drinks in the restaurant.
Dave the Diver debuted in the summer of 2023 on PC, after which it was released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox. On Steam, the project has over 126,000 reviews, of which 96% are positive.
In parallel, the team is working on a major expansion called In the Jungle, designed for approximately ten hours of new content. Its events will unfold in the tropical village of Utara, where Dave will be able to explore lakes, hunt piranhas and crocodiles, and manage the Bancho Grill restaurant. The DLC is also scheduled for release in 2026, but the exact date has not yet been announced.
