The ghost hunting simulator is gradually moving towards a full release.
In late December, the developers of Phasmophobia presented a new blog dedicated to their plans for the game in 2026.
In the first quarter of next year, the release of an update with new character models is expected. Players will be able to customize the image of the ghost hunter with the help of free cosmetic items.
Also in Phasmophobia a new system of motion animation will be presented, for example, you can see: opening / closing the door (with hands); changing equipment; picking up / dropping / placing equipment.
New death animations will appear — you can see examples in the developers' blog at the following link.
In addition, the 6 Tanglewood Drive map will be redone — the developers clarified that the changes are aimed at improving the location, and not at "too radical changes."
The release of the full version of Phasmophobia is scheduled for 2026. Together with the release of version 1.0, an update will be released, which until recently was known as "Horror 2.0".
