Crunchyroll has released a mobile version of Lock’s Quest on Android and iOS — a remake of the classic 2008 game for Nintendo DS.
Lock’s Quest is an RPG strategy game where the player controls a boy named Lock, defending his village from an army of clockwork mechanisms. The campaign unfolds in the format of a 75-day war: the player needs not only to participate in battles, but also to build fortifications daily, place towers, use traps and special techniques. Between missions, the plot develops through dialogues and interaction with other characters.
The mobile version is based on the re-release of the game for PC and consoles, released in 2017. It supports the Russian language and includes the endless mode "Antonia Defense" — like the 2019 mobile edition.
Apparently, the Crunchyroll version differs primarily in the distribution model: the game can be obtained for free with a subscription to the service. At the same time, in both cases, users from Russia will need to resort to workarounds for installation.
