Heroes of Might and Magic III fans continue to deliver new content.
Recently, the developers of the large-scale modification Heroes of Might and Magic III: Horn of the Abyss released update 1.8.0 with content and various improvements.
HotA features a new city and faction, Kronwerk, including new heroes, creatures and their external dwellings, as well as the faction skill Runes:
The long journey from conception to release, which took almost two decades, is complete, and now you can play as a faction that has been part of our project throughout its history. The place that Kronwerk represents was also part of the Might & Magic world, but we are only now offering Heroes 3 players to visit it. Kronwerk is inhabited by peoples living on the ice-bound island of Vori — snow elves, frost giants-jotuns, yetis and kobolds. They also have loyal allies — archars and mammoths. Legends and songs are composed about these mighty creatures, glorifying their courage and unusual abilities, which they owe to the mysterious forces hovering among the eternal snows.
Some other changes and improvements:
- Added an advanced event system — a new feature of the map editor that allows you to create events and tasks with complex conditions
- A new object for snow has appeared — «Outpost». When visited, it gives 300-500 gold or 3-5 gremlins or kobolds once.
- Eliminated the AI's desire to endlessly receive the same artifacts in the repeatable tasks of the Seer's Hut
- Fixed hero portraits
- The extended task log from the HD mod is now also available in HotA without HD. Fixed several interface flaws
The developers of Heroes of Might and Magic III: Horn of the Abyss noted that work continues on a campaign that will tell the story of Vori from ancient times to modern Enroth.
