Players are gradually beginning to understand various references.
Recently, a fan of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 under the nickname Responsible-Race-575 shared a discovery. He was studying the game code and found interesting game assets.
The game is saturated with French culture, and not everyone understood the references. As it turns out, the developers from Sandfall Interactive left explanatory links in the code.
The names of some characters / NPCs refer to elements of pop culture, linguistic features, and more.
For example, for one of the NPCs named "GestralOnePuncho," there is a line linking to a Wikipedia article about One-Punch Man.
There are also other explanations, for example, "Troubadour" refers to minstrels (poet-musicians), and "Barbasucette" combines the French words barbe (beard) and sucette (lollipop).
