The developers continue to gradually improve SteamOS.

In January, Valve introduced update 3.7.19 for SteamOS. The developers have fixed a number of technical issues, including those related to the operation of some specific games.

Some changes and improvements:

  • Fixed an issue where, after prolonged gaming, the frame rate limit did not work well with monitors using variable refresh rates.
  • Fixed a regression related to the game recording feature that caused the video to stop in the middle of the clip.
  • Fixed an issue where audio output did not always correctly switch to headphones when connected via the 3.5 mm jack and back to another device when disconnected.
