Death in Pathologic 3 will punish careless players.
Today, January 9, Pathologic 3, also known as "Morp 3", from Ice-Pick Lodge studio, is scheduled for release. The game offers to experience a familiar story from a new perspective - from the face of Bachelor Daniil Dankovsky.
Some journalists have already managed to get acquainted with the project before the release. In particular, the author of TheGamer publication reported that Pathologic 3 uses a special resource called "amalgam", which is necessary for time travel.
This mechanic also explains the loading of the previous save after the character's death. In fact, the player "rewinds" time back, trying to change the course of events, but has to pay for it with amalgam.
The first time a player dies without amalgam, there will be no serious consequences - the game will be limited to a warning. However, subsequent death without this resource leads to the immediate completion of the playthrough: all saves are deleted, and the game has to be started from the very beginning. Given that the passage of Pathologic 3, according to preliminary estimates, takes at least 50-60 hours, the loss of progress can be especially painful.
However, according to journalists, this limitation can be circumvented if you go to the main menu in advance and load the previous save without spending the resource.
Pathologic 3 will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in the near future.
